The proscribed Indigenious People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied responsibility for Monday’s attacks on Imo Police Headquarters and Correctional Centre where' over 2,000 inmates were freed.

Its Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful said the attacks were not carried out by operatives of Eastern Security Network (ESN).

He said: “The attention of IPOB has been drawn again to the fallacious and fabricated news that IPOB and ESN are involved in the attack of prison and police headquarters in Owerri Imo State.

“IPOB and ESN are known groups not unknown gunmen. ESN is in the bush chasing Fulani terrorists, why linking IPOB and ESN to this attack. IPOB and ESN were not involved in the attack in Owerri Imo State. and the recent attack on Onitsha Owerri road at Ukwuorji junction. It is not our mandate to attack security personnel or prison facilities.

“The Nigeria Government and her compromised media outfits should stop linking IPOB and ESN to the multiple attacks going on in Nigeria now. IPOB was formed on principle of peace and we are still in it. Unknown gunmen is a different people which we don’t know them and they not IPOB or ESN security outfit.”

Meanwhile, soldiers have taken over the Okigwe roundabout and road leading to the Correctional Centre diverting traffic flow. The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has reacted to the burning of police headquarters in Imo state.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has accused the Eastern Security Network of carrying out attacks against police and correctional centre in Imo state on Monday.
ESN is Indigenous People of Biafra's security arm.
The IGP stated this in a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.
“Preliminary investigations have revealed that the attackers, who came in their numbers with sophisticated weapons such as General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), Sub-Machine Guns (SMGs), AK49 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), are members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN). The attempt by the attackers to gain access to the Police armoury at the Headquarters was totally and appropriately resisted by Police operatives on duty who repelled the attackers and prevented them from breaking-in and looting the armoury. The armoury is thus intact! Similarly, the police suffered no human casualty, apart from a police Constable who sustained a minor bullet wound on his shoulder,” the statement partly read.

The leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the jail break that occurred in Owerri, Imo state.

The jailbreak was made possible after unknown gunmen invaded the prison and blew up the facility in the wee hours of Monday.

They also razed the Imo Police Headquarters with vehicles parked in the premises.Reacting to the news, Kanu emphasised via his verified Twitter account that no soul deserves to be locked up in Nigeria’s prison.

The embittered IPOB leader stated that if insurgents such as Boko Haram and killer herdsmen that were arrested and freed can still roam freely in the country, nobody deserves to languish in custody.

Kanu tweeted“

If Miyetti Allah terror herdsmen & other murderous #Fulani groups, including Boko Haram insurgents, can be arrested, freed and rehabilitated by this neo-colonial Fulanised @NGRPresident, then no single soul deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria. If you know you know! #UGM.”
According to the Imo state govt, equipment of Nsu Ceramic and Tiles Industries were discovered in a warehouse belonging to Rochas Okorocha.

Rochas Okorocha

The Imo State Government has alleged that missing Nsu ceramic and tiles industry equipment  were found in a warehouse that allegedly belongs to former Governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha which he intends to use to set up his own factory.

The Nsu Ceramic and Tiles Industry in Ehime Mbano was established by the administration of the late Sam Mbakwe, the first civilian governor of old Imo State.

The Nation reports that the state's Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Simon Ebegbulem, led a team to the warehouse located along Owerri/ Aba Road. Ebegbulem also said the equipment was stacked with other public-owned facilities. He named a molder as one of the items which, according to him, were looted for the establishment of a private ceramic and tiles company by Okorocha.

Ebegbulem while reacting to the discovery, said;

“The said 55-feet by 200-length warehouse is adjacent  another warehouse where' the then Emeka Ihedioha administration discovered some  public properties said to be owned by the state.

There was a time the administration of Hope Uzodimma raised the  alarm on the equipment of Nsu Ceramic and Tiles Industries looted by the administration of Rochas Okorocha. That was after some patriotic citizens of the state raised the alarm on these looted Imo properties  kept by the Okorochas along Owerri/Aba Road.

We followed up to find out the truth and with what we have seen in Okorocha’s warehouse, there is a plan by Okorocha to set up a ceramic factory with government-owned properties as a personal factory.

Information we have gathered from those guarding the warehouse is that sometimes, their (Okorocha’s) people come here to pick some items and sell them off.

However, some of the equipment we are looking for are here and we have come to take possession of the Imo properties and anybody we see here will blame himself. We have taken over the government properties for the good of Imolites based on their demands.

Some of the public properties discovered included equipment of the Nsu Ceramic and Tiles Industry  set up by the then government of Sam Mbakwe as the industry established for Imo people have been personalized.

We also found street light equipment and their components, traffic light accessories, artificial tree plants were all found in the large warehouse owned by Okorocha.

Also, a molder from the Nsu tiles and ceramics and other components of the Nsu Ceramic and Tiles Industry were discovered to be in the warehouse and now we have taken over.”

Reacting to the allegation, Okorocha who represents Imo West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, said what the government recovered were mere cartons of tiles. In a statement released by his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha said;

”It was interesting to read that what the Commissioner said they recovered were street light accessories and cartons of tiles. He didn’t even disclose how he arrived at the conclusion that those items were owned by the government”

According to him, the scriptures only warned against drunkenness as he made biblical quotes to reveal that even Jesus drank alcohol.

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has stated that is not scriptural to preach against drinking of alcohol.

According to him, the scriptures only warned against drunkenness as he made biblical quotes to reveal that even Jesus drank alcohol.

He Wrote;

“Drinking alcohol is not a sin-Ecclesiastes 9:7. But drunkenness is a sin-Galatians 5:21. It is unscriptural to preach against alcohol. Christ Himself changed water to ALCOHOLIC wine (only the mentally lazy believe Christ turned water to non alcoholic wine)-John 2:7-10.

“Even in heaven they drink wine (Matthew 26:29). Wine is medicinal. (1 Timothy 5:23). In fact, Psalm 104:15 says God created wine to gladden the hearts of men. Scripture allows you use your tithe to buy alcohol, including spirits (Deuteronomy 14:26).

“Stop allowing yourself to be used for merchandise by men who impose their own laws on you and lie that it is the command of God. Emancipate yourself from religious bondage. Get your doctrine from Scripture, not tradition or church regulations. The Son has set you free. Don’t allow men keep you in bondage!”

39-year-old AC Milan star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken to social media to vent at EA sports, makers of the FIFA 21 game franchise, alleging his image was included in the hugely popular video game without his permission.

According to Zlatan he is not a member of FIFpro, the professional body that all professional footballers belong too, and someone is making money off him without his knowledge.

On Monday night, Zlatan made a social media rant saying it is “time to investigate”.

“Who gave FIFA EA Sport permission to use my name and face? @FIFPro?” he wrote on Twitter.

“I’m not aware to be a member of Fifpro and if I am I was put there without any real knowledge through some weird maneuver.

“And for sure I never allowed @FIFAcom or Fifpro to make money using me.

“Somebody is making profit on my name and face without any agreement all these years. Time to investigate”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic slams EA Sports for using his

Tottenham forward Gareth Bale also weighed in on the debate, saying on Twitter: “@Ibra_official Interesting... what is @FIFPro ? #TimeToInvestigate.”

Earlier this year EA Sports announced an exclusive multi-year partnership with AC Milan which commenced with the launch of FIFA 21 this October.

The agreement sees the Italian giants feature exclusively in FIFA 21 – meaning the game boasts all-encompassing access to the AC Milan players, kits, training grounds and stadium.

Footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, gifted some of his teammates a Play Station 5 each as early Christmas gift.

The AC Milan striker surprised his team-mates after he gifted them the on-demand console as three of his team Mates took to their Instagram story to thankthe him.

Defender Musacchio who plays for the AC Milan club, took to his Instagram to share a photo of the PS5 inside his home.

Also, Portugal forward and AC Milan’s player Leao also posted photo of the console on his Insta-Story writing: “Thanks GOAT for the gift.”

Spanish winger Castillejo also thanked as he shared photos of the PlayStation 5 on top of his Lamborghini.

Immediately these ‘posts of gratitude’ touched down social media, fans were quick to ‘joke’ that they were unable to buy a console for themselves because Ibrahimovic may have bought them all.
