Global football governing body, FIFA has banned Chad from football until further notice.

The decision was taken by the Bureau of the Fifa Council on Wednesday and takes effect immediately.

Note that in December 2020, Fifa had rejected a request from the country’s ministry of sports to dissolve the Chadian Football Federation.

On March 10, the minister for youth and sports released a statement to prevent the Chadian Football Association, FTFA, from performing its obligatory duties due to a dispute between- both parties.

CAF then disqualified Chad from the Africa Cup of Nations qualification race, just a few days prior to their fixtures against Namibia and Mali, following the sport Minister's actions.

FIFA has now waded in, banning the country henceforth.

Fifa bans Chad from football activities for life

FIFA says the ban was as a result of government interference in the football operations of the African country but announced that the suspension will be reversed as soon as the relevant government decisions have been revoked.

“The Bureau of the Fifa Council decided to suspend the Chadian Football Association (FTFA) with immediate effect due to government interference,” a statement from the Fifa website read.

“The suspension was prompted by the recent decisions of Chadian government authorities to permanently withdraw the powers delegated to the FTFA, establish a national committee for the temporary management of football and seize control of the FTFA’s premises.

“The suspension will be lifted once the relevant government decisions have been repealed and the FTFA and its management, led by president Moctar Mahamoud Hamid, have confirmed to Fifa that the FTFA premises are again under its control.”

Nollywood actress, Tayo Sobola better known as Sotayogaga, has revealed why she had a secret wedding and never shared photos with her husband on social media.

Tayo revealed that although she recently shared her wedding photos, she has been married for a while and dated her husband for seven years before they eventually tied the knot.

In her words,

“I am married. My husband is not in the movie industry. I have been married for a while. I had known my husband forabout seven years before we got married. If you know me,you will know that I am the kind of person that loves my personal life. I have been with my husband for seven years.

“I read some blog’s posts and laugh; they should feel free totag anybody. I love keeping my personal life private; that is why I decided to marry secretly. I did not get married this year; I only just posted the pictures some months ago.”

“There is time for everything and I want to believe that whatever you want to do, you create the time for it. For me, some people send me messages saying that they have not been seeing me in movies like they used to; sometimes you leave work to pursue money. There are times that I choose a time to do movies and whoever calls me at that time, if I am free, I will shoot about two or three movies.

“There are other times that I can not do movies. Trust me, this clothing business takes time, except you just don’t have that vision. I recently opened a branch in Abuja where' I have a house because I have a lot of customers there. Right now,I am more into my business ― making and selling clothes.

“I have the face already. If I leave the movie industry for a while to do my business, I will return and no one will notice that I was gone. I have plenty of films that are not out yet. So,when I am busy doing some other things, those ones will come out. That is how I try to balance them. It is when I have time that I shoot movies”. There are no recipes to a successful marriage, no rule books to what works. 2 people make a choice to be desirable and spend time working to keep what they have.

If you like read all the books, Cook all the meals, Have the most explosive sex styles, What will work, will work. What will scatter, will scatter. It’s life, it’s lessons, it’s seasons. Thank you all for coming to my TedTalk.” The proscribed Indigenious People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied responsibility for Monday’s attacks on Imo Police Headquarters and Correctional Centre where' over 2,000 inmates were freed.

Its Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful said the attacks were not carried out by operatives of Eastern Security Network (ESN).

He said: “The attention of IPOB has been drawn again to the fallacious and fabricated news that IPOB and ESN are involved in the attack of prison and police headquarters in Owerri Imo State.

“IPOB and ESN are known groups not unknown gunmen. ESN is in the bush chasing Fulani terrorists, why linking IPOB and ESN to this attack. IPOB and ESN were not involved in the attack in Owerri Imo State. and the recent attack on Onitsha Owerri road at Ukwuorji junction. It is not our mandate to attack security personnel or prison facilities.

“The Nigeria Government and her compromised media outfits should stop linking IPOB and ESN to the multiple attacks going on in Nigeria now. IPOB was formed on principle of peace and we are still in it. Unknown gunmen is a different people which we don’t know them and they not IPOB or ESN security outfit.”

Meanwhile, soldiers have taken over the Okigwe roundabout and road leading to the Correctional Centre diverting traffic flow.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has reacted to the burning of police headquarters in Imo state.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has accused the Eastern Security Network of carrying out attacks against police and correctional centre in Imo state on Monday.
ESN is Indigenous People of Biafra's security arm.
The IGP stated this in a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.
“Preliminary investigations have revealed that the attackers, who came in their numbers with sophisticated weapons such as General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), Sub-Machine Guns (SMGs), AK49 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), are members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN). The attempt by the attackers to gain access to the Police armoury at the Headquarters was totally and appropriately resisted by Police operatives on duty who repelled the attackers and prevented them from breaking-in and looting the armoury. The armoury is thus intact! Similarly, the police suffered no human casualty, apart from a police Constable who sustained a minor bullet wound on his shoulder,” the statement partly read.

Ace music producer Don Jazzy has finally opened up on the reason why he didn’t sign singers Simi, Teni and Falz at the early stages of their career.

Speaking in a Black Box Interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the music producer revealed how he lost Falz due to his affiliation with another manager and how he failed to choose Simi in a music contest he organised years back.

Don Jazzy also noted he couldn’t sign Teni because she was based in Atlanta, USA at the time and he had not gotten to the stage of bringing people from overseas down to Nigeria.

Furthermore, he said that the singer he never wanted to manage is Davido because he knew he would become big.

He said;

“I can’t say I turned them down. For Falz, the working situation wasn’t just right. I run a firm that could handle almost everything he needed.

“But I think he had like a management company set up already. It was like Tiwa Savage’s but I had to grow into that kind of scenario where' I had to handle someone that had a record label, some blueprint process.

“I equally didn’t reject Simi. I did a Twitter contest for ‘Journey of A Thousand Miles’. I also loved her cover because she was one of the people that participated but she didn’t win.

“I didn’t pick the winners. I liked her but you can’t sign anybody. That’s one person I also regretted, I won’t say regret. But I wish we worked on stuff together. The same thing with Teni. We used to check up on each other.

“I had not grown to the point that I would move you from Atlanta to Nigeria for work. Now I can and we work before deciding if we are going to sign. Before I knew what was happening, there were faster people.

“She released records and I was like, ‘okay, we lost that one’. Three hot stars. The only person I didn’t want to sign was Davido I didn’t want to sign him but I knew he was going to be huge. They have money already now”

Femi Falana has stated that the chairman of Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Umarrisks a five-year jail term for using “Biafran boys” to describe persons he had an alter-cation with.

Recall that the CCT chairman, Umar on Monday was caught on video hitting a security guard at Banex Plaza, Wuse 2, Abuja.

In the defence of his principal, the CCT spokesperson identified as Ibraheem Al-Hassan had in a statement said the security guard was rude and prevented Umar from using a vacant parking space.

Al-Hassan had said the guard threatened Umar, while some “Biafran boys” also harassed him.

The CCT spokesperson later said it was Umar who asked him to use “Biafran boys” in the statement.

In a statement on Saturday, Falana said the use of the phrase constitutes xenophobia which contravenes the cybercrime law.

“The use of the words “BIAFRA boys” in the statement (produced through a computer system or network) on the instructions of the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal and distributed to the media last week constitutes a contravention of section 26 of the Cybercrimes Act 2015 which prohibits the use of “racist or xenophobic material” in any written or printed material which advocates, promotes or incites hatred, discrimination or violence, against any individual group of individuals, based on race, color, descent or national or ethnic origin, as well as religion if used as a pretext for any of these factors,” Falana said.

“The person alleged to have suggested the use of the xenophobic words is liable to be prosecuted for the serious offence. The penalty for the offence is 5 year’s imprisonment and/or a minimum N10 million fine.”

Ace music producer Don Jazzy yesterday shocked the world when he announced he had an ex-wife by the name Michelle Jackson after posting photos of their wedding.

The Mavin CEO whom many had before yesterday regarded as a top bachelor, revealed that he got married when he was just 20 years old and got divorced 2 years later because he gave more attention to his music.

He further stated that he regretted the action, but his love for music can not be replaced with any other thing in the world.

He wrote:

“I getting married? Well truth is almost 18 years ago I was 20 and I got married to my best friend Michelle @yarnstaswitch and it was beautiful. I loved love and I loved marriage. Michelle is soooo beautiful inside and outside with such a soft heart. But then me being so young and full of dreams I went and fucked it up cos I was giving all my time to my Music.

Music became priority instead of my family. We got divorced when I was 22 and it hurt. I am still very much in love with my music and I wouldn’t want to marry another and fuck it up again. So I’m taking my time. Why am I just saying this now?? I really like to keep my relationships private actually. Past or present. But I was watching the bounce interview with Ebuka which is almost like a tell all interview, and I felt bad skipping this huge part of my life. So yeah make una no vex o.”
